This first master project has been a research project, with the goal to design a town hall in the forest of Aalst-Waalre.
Tree trunks were chosen as the main material. These tree trunks will be chopped to create a plot for the town hall and can be reused this way. Several studies by small models were done to create the façades.
The interior is routing based organized which promotes an interaction between the citizens and the council. One of the elements within this interior is the commonly but stately entrance.
